The Cohasset Historical Society is hosting a House Tour exploring the theme of “The New Old House.”

Six houses on the tour range in age and architectural style from a 1729 Saltbox to a 1903 Victorian. The four in between include a 1802 Colonial, a 1821 Federal, an 1880 Colonial Revival, and a 1898 Shingle Style. Some remain beautifully preserved, offering a glimpse of life as it was decades ago, while others are intentionally modified, blending historic architecture with modern-day design. All the tour houses address the challenges of preserving the past while creatively adapting them for modern taste and usage.
